Punk Rock
"Punk Rock" is one of the branches genre of rock music, punk rock
music emerged in the 1970's with the advent of the era of bands like The
Clash, Sex Pistols.
Punk group often imitate simple musical structures such as garage rock music of the 1960s. Usually they consist of a drum kit, one or two electric guitars, an electric bass, and vocals. Drums usually have only one snare drum, a tom, one floor tom, one bass drum, hi-hats, one or two crash cymbals and a ride cymbal.
In the early 1990s, the punk rock music reintroduction by Nirvana, although in the end, the majority of media mentions Nirvana with the term grunge or alternative rock. The success of Nirvana's Nevermind album, recognized as a "pacesetter" to punk rock to be recognized by the wider world, until today.
In 2007, the shoe company punk rock from England, Doc Martens, create an ad campaign that uses photographs of icons who have contributed introduced punk rock music, namely Joey Ramone (Ramones), Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols), Joe Strummer (The Clash ), and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).
